Tips & FAQ

Here are three important tips to maintaining your computer systems.
You would be surprised at how many people do not.

Back Up & Avoid Losing Your Data

Backup your important personal files regularly to avoid loss. Data can be lost due to hardware failure, accidental deletion or infection. The easiest way to keep a regular back up is to use an external hard drive or cloud back up system that will automatically keep a duplicate set of your files.

Keep Your Computer Protected

Make sure you have an Anti Virus Security Application running on your machine. Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 includes the built in Windows Defender. If you are running an older system or a Mac then consider installing third party protection to help protect your computer.

Beware of Scam Phone Calls & Messages

Don't trust any incoming telephone call or message unless you are absolutely sure it is genuine. Microsoft, Apple, your internet provider or Bank will NOT call you to help with computer problems, so if someone purports to be from these organisations and asks you to allow remote control of your PC, do not allow it.
